Add highlights and notes to important moments in your transcripts.

Adding Highlights

Annotations let you mark important moments in your transcript with color-coded highlights and optional notes.

  1. 1

    Select transcript text

Click and drag to select the text you want to highlight in the transcript view.

  2. 2

    Choose a color

A toolbar appears with color dots. Hover over a color to preview the highlight, then click to apply it.

  3. 3

    Add a comment (optional)

Click the comment icon on the toolbar to attach a text note to your highlight.

Color Options

Voicord provides several highlight colors: yellow, blue, pink, purple, green, red, and orange. You can use different colors to categorize information — for example, yellow for key concepts, blue for questions, and red for action items.

Hovering over a color dot previews the highlight on the selected text before you commit, so you can try different colors without applying them.

Adding Comments

Comments let you attach personal notes to highlighted sections. When you click the comment icon, a text input appears where you can type your note. The comment is saved alongside the highlight and linked to the specific time range in the recording.

You can also add a comment to an existing highlight — just click on a highlighted section and use the edit option.

Use annotations during a live lecture to mark concepts you want to review later. Combined with timestamps, you can quickly jump back to the exact moment something was said.
