Learn how to use AI-powered Q&A to get instant answers about your recordings.

What is Ask AI?

Ask AI lets you ask questions about your recording content and get instant, context-aware answers. The AI reads your transcript and provides relevant answers based on what was said.

This is particularly useful for reviewing long recordings — instead of re-reading the entire transcript, you can ask specific questions like "What were the key decisions made?" or "What did the professor say about the exam?".

How to Ask a Question

    Open a recording

    Navigate to a completed recording from your recording list.

    Select text or use the Q&A panel

    Select a piece of transcript text and click the Ask AI button on the toolbar, or use the Q&A panel directly.

    Get your answer

    The AI analyzes the surrounding transcript context and returns an answer. Previous Q&A pairs are saved for reference.

Bilingual Answers

If you have translation enabled, Ask AI provides answers in both your primary and secondary languages. This is especially helpful when reviewing recordings in a language you're still learning.

In two-way translation mode, clicking on a sentence you don't understand will generate an answer in the other language, helping you comprehend the content.

Usage Limits

AI Q&A uses your plan's AI quota, which is shared with AI summaries. Each question counts as one AI usage. Your remaining usage is visible in your account.

Free plan users have a limited number of AI Q&As per month. Plus and Pro plans offer significantly more. If you reach your limit, you'll see a prompt suggesting an upgrade, but your existing Q&A history remains accessible.
